Nice Job Sarah, looks like you have covered everything. I like the Prezi. I haven't applied for the MAET yet, congrats to you! I liked working with middle school students when I was the special ed teacher I had grades 6-8. I too have the goal to teach technology and hope that I can do so soon. I want to get my endorsement but I am definitely taking next summer off!
I have always admired middle school teachers=8-) It's a age group that isn't one of my favorites. I prefer the later elementary bracket, myself. I understand where you are coming from - transitioning from one grade level to another every year is challenging. This past year I was assigned 2nd graders for the first time in 5 years. It's unbelievable the amount of time I spent outside of school hours refamiliarizing myself with content standards and curriculum. Congratulations on your acceptance into the MAET program. =8-)
Hi Sarah! It looks like you have solid goals. I can imagine such a huge grade shift would require your attention, so I think it is smart to wait until Spring. I can't wait to find out what ways you are able to use technology with your little ones! Good luck with the new school year :-)
